EPISODE 5

Uncovering the Lawyer Within with Archie Roundtree, Jr.

45 MINUTES| (4.9)

Description

There is an outdated view that lawyers need to conduct themselves in a certain way, dress and talk a certain way, and generally conform to what society thinks a lawyer ought to be. As such, many lawyers suppress the qualities that make them unique in order to meet these expectations. If instead, lawyers harnessed their unique traits and qualities and injected them into their legal practice, the result would be happier, more creative and more successful lawyers with whom clients can build deeper, more trusted relationships. Uncovering the Lawyer Within is a series of conversations with different lawyers who are on a journey to uncover the traits and qualities that make them unique – humor, empathy, poetry, to name a few – and infuse them into their lawyering style, client relationships and everyday legal practice.

In this episode of Uncovering the Lawyer Within, host Chad Aboud sits down with Archie Roundtree, Jr., Equity Attorney at Justice in Aging, who will share how he infused his passion for poerty into a lawyering style that enables him to connect more meaningfully with clients and colleagues.
